NutriRank (the "Site", "we", "us") operates nutrirank.net, a free nutritional data reference site displaying USDA public-domain nutrition data. This policy explains what data is and is not collected when you use the Site, who processes it, and the rights you have.
NutriRank does not collect, store, or process any personal data. We do not operate user accounts, contact forms, or server-side logging of visitor identities.
Any searches or filters you apply are processed locally in your browser to display results. They are not transmitted to our servers, not logged, and not stored.
We use Microsoft Azure Application Insights to understand how the site is used. Analytics is configured to be cookieless: it sets no cookies, creates no persistent user identifier, and collects only aggregate technical data such as the page viewed, the referring page, approximate region, browser type, and timestamp. Your IP address is processed transiently by Microsoft to derive an approximate location and is not stored by us. Microsoft acts as our data processor. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
This site uses Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-5611852230193979) to display advertisements. Google AdSense sets cookies and uses data about your browsing activity to serve personalised ads. Ad cookies are only set after you consent via the banner on this site. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, ad storage defaults to denied under Google Consent Mode v2, and no ad cookies are placed until you accept.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time via Google Ad Settings. You can also review Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy and Google's advertising technologies at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

The site is hosted on Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps. This provider may process your IP address and request metadata to deliver the site securely and prevent abuse, as their own data processor.
We do not set first-party tracking cookies. Your consent choice is stored only in your browser's localStorage under the key nutrirank_consent. No consent cookie is written by us. The only cookies that may be set on this site are advertising cookies from Google AdSense, and only after you consent where consent is required. You can manage or withdraw consent at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the page footer. To fully remove ad cookies, clear your browser cookies and localStorage.
Because NutriRank holds no personal data about visitors, rights of access, export, and deletion are fulfilled automatically. There is nothing to access, export, or delete on our servers. We do not sell personal information.
You can decline or withdraw consent for AdSense cookies at any time via the consent banner, the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, or by clearing localStorage and browser cookies. Nothing is persisted server-side by this site.
For advertising data held by Google, you can access, export, and delete it via Google Ad Settings or Google Account Privacy.
You may also opt out of personalised ads via YourOnlineAds.eu (EEA) or AboutAds.info (US).
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to correct or restrict processing of personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority (for example, the supervisory authority of your EU member state or the UK ICO).
We do not maintain a database of users. Aggregate analytics are retained by our analytics provider for a limited period. Advertising data retention is governed by Google's policies.
Our processors (Microsoft, Google) may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States, under appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or applicable adequacy frameworks.
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
